Elements Store FAQ

Can I share or transfer my Store purchases to someone else?

An Elements account can be used on multiple Macs, but it’s tied to a single user. If two people are working on the same project, they each need their own Elements account and each account needs to own its own copy of any paid components used in that project.

Sharing one account between two different people is not supported, whether you’re in the same location or in different places. Simultaneous use on two machines with the same account also isn’t supported.

Paid components can’t be transferred between accounts.

If multiple people are collaborating on the same site on their own machine, then everyone needs to purchase the components they’re using.

See the Store Policy for more details.

I'm seeing the error "The operation couldn't be completed. (Amplify.APlError error 5.)"

This error is often caused by an issue with your network connection. Sometimes just restarting Elements and re-opening the store will resolve the issue.

It’s worth checking whether you have anything installed that filters or blocks traffic, tools like Little Snitch, Radio Silence, or certain antivirus packages can quietly block app requests and cause odd behaviour like this.

If you’re running any of those, try temporarily disabling them or adding Elements to the allow list. You should also ensure the network allows outbound (and possibly inbound) traffic to/from the following domains:

  • .amazonaws.com

  • .amplifyapp.com

  • .elementsapp.cloud

If you've experienced a network interruption, or are still having issues connecting to the store, please restart Elements and try again.

Can I get a refund for an addon I've just purchased?

The Elements Store provides a straightforward 7-day refund policy for all store purchases that do not provide a trial. If you’d like a refund, contact us directly and we’ll take care of it.

Your refund should arrive back into your account within 72 hours from the time of issue. Once the refund has been processed the installed product will be deactivated and unusable.
