Help with "plugin is missing" message.

Perhaps you've just received a messaged saying something like:

“PlusKit plugin is missing. Pages using Pluskit will not be published.”

Don't worry, this issue is usually quick tofix. Follow the steps below to get back up and running:

First, let’s check if RapidWeaver is right about the plugin being gone.

In RapidWeaver, click on “RapidWeaver Classic” in the menu bar, and select Reveal Addons Folder:

This will bring up a Finder window, displaying the contents of a folder. Pluskit should be there, either as a sub folder or as a .rapidweaverplugin file. I don’t have it installed, so it doesn’t show up on the screenshot below, but it should on your Mac:

If the missing Plugin(s) aren't there, then RapidWeaver is right: the plugin is gone. You can check if RapidWeaver moved it to the “Plugins Disabled” subfolder (and move it back to the main folder if it has). RapidWeaver does that if you deselect the plugin from the app settings.

If you can’t find it there either, then it must have been removed by some other process. You should be able to redownload it from the plugin developers website.

If missing Plugin(s) are there, then drag them out from the plugins folder to your desktop and close RapidWeaver. Then, with RapidWeaver closed, double click on the plugin (on your desktop) to bring up the Plugin Installer window. Move through the steps to register the plugin (it will automatically be moved back into the plugins folder, no worries).
